Dimensions
Manual size, mm/cm & file-size controls

MM/cm and DPI are planning references: canvas output controls pixels, while browsers do not reliably embed DPI metadata. Use the pixel values required by the notice.

Notice-specific requirements

Defaults are based on GATE 2026 official Photograph and Signature requirements, IIT Guwahati.

GATE 2026 requires JPEG/JPG files. Photograph files are 5–600 KB with 200 × 260 to 530 × 690 px; signature files are 3–300 KB with 250 × 80 to 580 × 180 px. The notice gives aspect-ratio ranges, so the editable defaults below use the maximum permitted dimensions rather than claiming one mandatory pixel size.

Requirements can change. Verify the latest official notification and portal instructions before applying; every editor setting can be overridden above.

Which GATE requirements does this tool use?

GATE 2026 requires JPEG/JPG files. Photograph files are 5–600 KB with 200 × 260 to 530 × 690 px; signature files are 3–300 KB with 250 × 80 to 580 × 180 px. Are my photos uploaded to Chase Clarity?

No. The editor uses browser Canvas and File APIs. Your source image and processed image stay on your device; the page does not send image contents to Chase Clarity servers.

Does a green status guarantee my application will be accepted?

No. It only checks the technical dimensions and file-size settings you selected. The application notice, visual quality rules and the authority's portal determine acceptance.

Why can't a PNG always reach a small KB target?

PNG is lossless and Canvas does not provide a quality control for it. For strict small file sizes, a JPG is usually the practical choice when the notice permits it.
